They started to construct the new opera building in Oslo in 2003 and the surrounding area have been under heavy development ever since. The area surrounding the opera building is called Barcode, even though the proper name for the surrounding area is Bjørvika. The past years the area have become rather vibrant and popular, especially during summer months. The opera building itself have a really cool architecture, both on the inside and outside, but the roof is a nice place to take pictures from. Most of the pictures in this article is from this roof.Â
The new main library is build right next to the opera building. I really love the architecture of the new main library and on the pictures below you see some of the pictures I took of the inside. If you haven't been there, you really should. In addition to the obvious books and the cool architecture Folkeverkstedet is situated inside. At Folkeverkstedet they have sewing machines, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, large formats printers and such that you can use. You have to book time, and that is done on the page I linked to.Â
I used my Pentax K-3 II camera house and Sigma 18-35 f1.8 on these images. Pixel shift is used on some of the images to increase resolution and detains in the images. You find my copyright notice on this page.Â
