An evening in Oslo city center
There’s something special about Oslo when the cold really settles in. Sounds soften, the light sharpens, and the city takes on a quiet, almost theatrical atmosphere. On one of those evenings, I brought my camera to the area around the Opera House. There is some really nice architecture there close to the Oslo fjord and a place that always delivers. This becomes truly striking when winter darkness meets icy surfaces and still water.
I wandered around the building, from the broad, snow‑covered slopes to the reflections in the fjord and the warm glow rising from Bjørvika. The result is a series of images that try to capture that exact feeling: the coolness, the stillness, the graphic lines — and that small hint of magic that appears when the city seems to hold its breath for a moment.
