Spring in Vigelandsparken

Vigelandsparken is one of Oslo’s great open‑air galleries, a place where stone and bronze breathe quietly among trees, pathways, and shifting northern light. Even so, the park still holds secrets for those who wander slowly. With my new prime lens in hand today, I discovered a small, hidden waterfall I had somehow passed countless times without noticing. Its soft rush of water catching the sun like a whispered invitation. I could not help myself, so I took more pictures of the statues in the park as well. Depending on the time of day and season the statues can express themself differently. The statues revealed new life. In the bright weather, sharp sunlight carved deep shadows across their surfaces, shaping expressions and gestures that only appear when the light is perfect.

A prime lens has a way of simplifying the world, stripping away distractions and letting you see form, texture, and light with fresh clarity. Today, it turned a familiar park into something quietly magical.
