Landscape photography is also normally done in the wildlife and focuses on wide, sweeping scenes. Think mountains, oceans, fields, or city skylines. Landscape photography is about capturing the feeling of a place. A landscape photo can be calm and peaceful, dramatic and moody or bright and colourful depending on where you are and the current season.  

Many people love it because it encourages travel and exploration. You learn composition skills like leading lines and framing and sunrises and sunsets become magical opportunities.  

Some beginner's tips are to use the rule of thirds to balance your composition. Include a foreground element (rock, tree, person) for depth and do not be afraid of bad weather as clouds add drama and depth to your images. Just remember to dress accordingly to the weather.
