The rule of thirds is a foundational composition guideline in photography that helps create balanced, visually engaging images. The rule divides the frame into a 3×3 grid, two equally spaced horizontal lines and two vertical lines, creating nine zones and four intersection points. These intersections are called power points, and placing key elements there tends to produce more dynamic and pleasing compositions. Lots of experienced photographers are very focused on it, but if you are new to photography, you should not be too focused on it. It is more important that you have fun and learn to know your equipment.
